As a kid I never grew up going to one particular church. I skipped around many different churches for the wrong reasons. Rather than going for God and to become a humble Christian I¡¯d only go to places where I liked the new people I¡¯d meet. Church to me back then was about having a lot of friends and going every Sunday to hang out with them. Although some churches I really enjoyed going to but never really felt like I exactly fit in all the time. I felt like an outcast a lot of the time even though I had made so many new friends. Everyone knew one another since birth and I was always just a new visitor. My commitment to staying at one church wasn¡¯t good.
The first time I visited FKPCP I was so close to leaving for another church even though I only attended for two or three weeks. Since I was a little bit older and finally understood what having faith actually meant I decided to stay for a little longer to see what would happen. Things surprised me and I started enjoying church not only just for the friends but also because I began having a belief in God and how he works through us all. This shifted my life in so many different ways I cannot describe but I¡¯m content for saying I actually believe now and can call myself a Christian, or at least a Christian in progress.
